This Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which a booking may be canceled by either the renter or the vehicle owner on the UX platform. Users are encouraged to review this policy carefully before making or accepting a booking.
Definition:
A cancellation occurs when either the renter or the vehicle owner terminates a confirmed booking before the scheduled rental start date.
Refunds:
Refund eligibility depends on the timing of the cancellation. UX service fees may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
If a renter cancels a confirmed booking, the following terms apply:
Flexible Cancellation
(Cancellation within 48 hours of booking and at least 7 days before the rental start date)
The renter receives a full refund of the booking amount, excluding UX service fees.
Moderate Cancellation
(Cancellation less than 7 days but more than 24 hours before the rental start date)
The renter receives a 50% refund of the booking amount, excluding UX service fees.
Strict Cancellation
(Cancellation less than 24 hours before the rental start date)
No refund will be issued, and the full booking amount will be charged.
Exceptions:
In cases of extraordinary circumstances—such as medical emergencies or natural disasters—renters may contact UX support to request an exception. Supporting documentation may be required.
If a vehicle owner cancels a confirmed booking:
More than 48 hours before the rental start date
The renter will receive a full refund, including UX service fees.
No penalty will apply to the owner.
Less than 48 hours before the rental start date
The renter will receive a full refund, including UX service fees.
The owner may incur a penalty fee, and repeated cancellations may lead to temporary suspension of the listing.
Impact on Owner Ratings:
Frequent cancellations by owners may negatively affect their ratings, visibility on the platform, or result in additional restrictions.
If a renter fails to pick up the vehicle within one hour of the agreed pickup time without prior communication, the booking will be considered a No-Show.
In this case:
The renter will not be eligible for a refund.
The vehicle owner will retain the full rental amount.
Renters and owners may mutually agree to modify a confirmed booking, such as adjusting rental dates or pickup times.
All changes must be processed through the UX platform.
Modifications are subject to availability and may result in price adjustments or additional service fees.
Approved refunds will be issued to the renter’s original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on the renter’s bank or payment provider.
UX service fees are generally non-refundable unless the cancellation is initiated by the vehicle owner.
If a dispute arises regarding a cancellation or refund, both parties are encouraged to first attempt to resolve the matter directly. If necessary, UX support may assist in mediating the issue; however, the platform does not guarantee a specific outcome.
UX reserves the right to adjust or override this policy in situations involving extraordinary circumstances, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or serious illness. Documentation may be required to support such claims.
UX may update or modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through email or platform notifications. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of any updated terms.
