UX Payment Policy

This Payment Policy outlines how payments are handled on UX, as well as the rights and responsibilities of both renters and vehicle owners when conducting transactions on the platform.


1. General Terms

Payment Processing:
All payments made through UX are processed using a secure payment system. By using the platform, users agree to follow the terms outlined in this Payment Policy.

Currency:
Transactions are processed in the currency displayed on the platform. UX is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or any additional fees charged by a user’s bank or payment provider.


2. Accepted Payment Methods

UX supports multiple payment options, including credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), digital wallets (such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay), and other payment methods available on the platform.

By providing payment details, users authorize UX to charge their selected payment method for the full booking amount, including applicable service fees and taxes.


3. Payment Timeline

Booking Request:
When submitting a booking request, renters must provide valid payment information. The payment may be temporarily held until the vehicle owner approves the request.

Booking Confirmation:
Once the owner accepts the booking, the total rental amount—including platform service fees—is charged to the renter’s payment method.

Owner Payouts:
Vehicle owners receive payment after the rental period begins, minus UX service fees. Payouts are typically initiated within 24–48 hours after the rental start date and may take 3–5 business days to appear in the owner’s bank account depending on their financial institution.


4. Service Fees

UX charges service fees to support platform operations, payment processing, and system maintenance.

Fee Structure:

Service fees are generally non-refundable unless stated otherwise in the Cancellation Policy.


5. Security Deposit

Deposit Requirement:
Some bookings may require a refundable security deposit to cover potential damages or additional charges. The deposit amount will be clearly indicated in the booking details.

Deposit Release:
If the vehicle is returned in the agreed condition and no additional charges apply, the deposit will typically be released within 7–10 business days after the rental ends.


6. Additional Charges

In certain situations, extra charges may apply, including but not limited to:

Renters agree that any applicable additional fees may be charged to the payment method on file.


7. Refunds

Refunds are issued according to the UX Cancellation Policy.

If a renter cancels within the permitted timeframe, a full or partial refund may be issued, excluding any non-refundable service fees.

Refunds are generally processed within 7–10 business days, depending on the renter’s bank or payment provider.


8. Failed Payments and Chargebacks

Failed Payments:
If a payment is declined or fails to process, the booking will not be confirmed until a valid payment method is provided.

Chargebacks:
If a user initiates a chargeback, UX reserves the right to recover the disputed amount and any related fees, and may take further action if necessary.


9. Payment Disputes

Users are encouraged to first resolve payment-related disputes directly with the other party (owner or renter). If needed, UX support may assist in facilitating communication and ensuring adherence to platform policies.

While UX may provide support, it does not assume liability for disputes between users.


10. Fraud Prevention

UX employs security measures to protect user information and prevent fraudulent activity. Suspicious transactions may be flagged, and accounts may be temporarily restricted pending verification.

Users should immediately report any unauthorized transactions or suspicious activity to UX support.


11. Policy Updates

UX reserves the right to update or revise this Payment Policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through email or platform notifications.

Continued use of the platform after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
